Building Use Request Form

We want our building to be a used for good purposes.

Thank you for your interest in using our facility. Please read our building use rules, and fill out the form at the bottom of the page to request the use of our facility. Please make your request at east 6 weeks before the event. No guarantee of the building being available without confirmation of use by a church administrator and fees are paid. Once the form is filled out, a church administrator will be in touch with you to sign our use form and collect payment.

Building Use Rules

General Rules

  1. Church activities may, at times, be scheduled in rooms that are booked by regular use groups.  The church will contact you at least two weeks in advance.  We will try to accommodate your group elsewhere, but we reserve the right to cancel the event to accommodate our program.
  2. Any changes to the dates/times of building use specified on the building use form must be communicated to either the pastor or other authorized designate at least 72 hours prior to building use to confirm there are no conflicts, and to notify any other building use holders of the change.  Any additional use of the building outside of the specified dates/times on the form may incur additional fees.
  3. Groups whose activities include children or vulnerable adults/individuals must either comply with Fernridge Faith Center’s Child and Youth Protection Manual policies or provide us with a copy of their policy that meets or exceeds it.  They must also document that they have their own liability insurance.
  4. An authorized person from the church may walk through with the building use holder prior to the event to confirm rooms to be used and confirm understanding of cleaning policy.  There also may be a walk through with the building use holder after the event to confirm cleanliness.
  5. Only the authorized key holder shall possess the key unless written arrangement is made with authorized personnel.
  6. Cleaning Policy: All rooms and furniture must be returned to their pre-event condition.  This includes returning any furniture that is moved to its previous placement.  The tables are not to be removed from the church building without prior permission.
  7. No smoking inside the building.  Please remove all cigarette refuse from the outside.  Smoking is prohibited within 10 feet of all church buildings.
  8. Consideration of alcohol being served is on a case-by-case basis by the church council. The event planner must have all proper permitting and insurance.  No controlled substances are allowed on the premises.
  9. If food or beverage is served, you are expected to wipe/mop up any spills.  Please bring your own supplies such as cups, napkins, cream, sugar, plates, etc.
  10. If using blackboards or bulletin boards, please be sure everything is erased.
  11. No tacks or staples may be used on the walls.  If you use tape to hang anything, please ensure all tape and residue is removed.
  12. If you break anything you must agree to pay for its repair or replacement cost.

Sanctuary Rules:

  1. Priority is given to use of the sanctuary for functions which are consistent with Christian worship.  The expectation for this space is reverence and piety.
  2. Please put back all items if they are displaced during use.
  3. No food is allowed in the sanctuary.  Coffee or water cups with lids and communion are the only exceptions.
  4. The use of Audio/Visual equipment requires prior authorization and will incur additional fees to cover the cost for a trained sound or video technician.

*This is required to pay someone to coordinate the use of the building, let someone in, show where everything is located, and lock up. There is a discount rate for church members. If a church member does not pay rental fees, they must pay cleaning fee deposit. Please speak with a church administrator for more information. Cleaning fee deposits will be refunded if NO cleaning services are required.
