Psalms 23:6

Psalms23:6 – Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

1. Surely So it’s Not Maybe, it is Not Probably and Not Hopefully!

Surely – This communicates confidence in the Good Shepherd!

Goodness and Love

Now it’s easy to say this when…

When we’re in good health

When we have Flourishing finances

When the Family is doing well

When we have Good Friends 🙂

How about saying this when…

•Health is failing
•Not enough money to pay the bills
•Kids making poor choices
•No real friends and lonely

2. Shall follow all the days

Whatever challenging situation I may experience in life goodness and love shall follow.

HIS LOVE IS CONTINUALLY COMING OUR WAY

Sheep can be the most destructive animals

They are creatures of habits that create ruts.

They will eat all the vegetation

They will dig up roots

They will leave a land barren if left unattended.

Sheep can also be the most beneficial of all livestock

Clothing and wool

Consume a wide variety of vegetation.

Manure is the best balanced of the domestic stock.

Good eating size.

3. Dwell in house of the Lord forever

This Psalm leads us through the entire year of a sheep’s life

•Spring green pastures the shepherd leads to
•Summer mountaintops and protection from bugs
•Fall protection from rutting damage
•Wintertime come back home to comfort of ranch

God has a place for us. It is prepared, safe, and has all that we need to eat.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE SHEPHERDED/ IN RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SHEPHERD.
