How Do We Read The Bible?

Leviticus 19

  •  Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy (2)
  • Respect your father and mother (3)

  • When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Do not go over your vineyard a second time – for the poor and the foreigners sake. (9 – 10)
  • Do not withhold the wages of a hired man overnight. (13)

  • Do not wear cloths woven of two kinds of material. (19)
  • ________________________________________ (26)
  • Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip the edges of your beard. (27)
  • Do not put tatoos on yourself (28)

How do you determine which laws you are going to follow and which you aren’t?

New Testament

  • ____________________________________  (Matt. 19:21)
  • Anger toward a brother is subject to judgment (Like murder) (Matthew 5:21-22)
  • Give to the one who asks and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. (Matt. 5:42)
  • If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away from you. (Matt. 8:29)
  • Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth (Matt. 6:19)

Wow. How do we do all of this? How do we choose which we are going to follow?

    I like the idea of walking in the plan He has for us. It reminds me of one of my favorites, “Trust in the Lord with ALL YOUR HEART, lean not to thine own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths”!
