Ephesians 2:11-22 Breaking Down Walls

Our sinful thinking has no problem with creating dividing walls and barriers. Why do we put up walls? • SeparateCompartmentalizeIsolate/ give independence   • Defense against unwanted intrudersKeep the peace

Walls become unnecessary when there is peace. Ephesians 2: 14-18 says that Jesus destroyed the barriers. The walls separating us from the Father are gone. The walls between Jew and Gentile have been removed. We were once hostile enemies of God. But, He had mercy on us and did NOT give us what we deserved. He had grace on us and gave us something we DO NOT deserve.

He gave us more than salvation from our corruption. He made us family. We are members of His household. He lives within us with His Spirit.
